چکیده مقاله
The development of recyclable heterogeneous catalysts has become a central focus in modern green chemistry, aiming to replace conventional homogeneous systems that often suffer from poor recovery and environmental concerns. In this work, a bromine-functionalized mesoporous silica catalyst, denoted FDU-12@L@Br₃, was successfully prepared via a sequential functionalization strategy [1]. The ordered mesoporous framework provided a high surface area and uniform pore distribution, enabling efficient immobilization of organic moieties and ensuring structural stability under reaction conditions. The designed catalyst was applied to the acetylation of alcohols, a fundamental transformation in organic synthesis with broad applications in pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and material science [2]. The system exhibited remarkable catalytic activity under mild and solvent-free conditions, highlighting its potential as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional methods. Importantly, the catalyst demonstrated excellent recyclability, maintaining high performance without significant loss of activity or selectivity (Scheme 1). This study introduces a robust and sustainable catalytic platform that combines the structural advantages of mesoporous materials with the reactivity of bromine-based functionalities. The findings underscore the promise of functionalized mesoporous catalysts for advancing green methodologies and contribute to ongoing efforts toward environmentally benign, resource-efficient chemical processes
