چکیده مقاله
Heterogeneous catalysts have emerged as one of the main focuses of research in organic synthesis. Compared to homogeneous catalysts, these systems offer significant advantages such as easy recovery and reusability. These features have made heterogeneous catalysts efficient approaches that align well with the principles of green chemistry.Acetylation of alcohols is recognized as one of the most widely used reactions in organic synthesis (Scheme 1). The ester functional group is not only broadly present in polymers, pharmaceuticals, and bioactive compounds, but it is also regarded as an effective protecting group for alcohols. Among the various protecting groups, the acetyl group is the most commonly applied due to the simplicity of the reaction under acidic conditions and the possibility of quantitative hydrolysis under mild alkaline conditions.Conventional reagents such as acetic anhydride are typically employed in the presence of activators. However, many existing methods encounter challenges such as the use of expensive and hazardous materials, harsh reaction conditions, and catalyst sensitivity to moisture [1–2]. Therefore, the high density of functional groups in polymer chains provides numerous active catalytic sites, thereby enhancing the overall activity and efficiency of the catalyst. Polymer-supported sulfonic acid catalysts can effectively promote esterification reactions under mild, solvent-free conditions with high yields, while maintaining recyclability and structural stability.
