چکیده مقاله
The quality and resistance of bitumen in asphalt plays a fundamental role in the durability of asphalt against various chemicals. Accordingly, in this study, bitumens PG 64-22 and 58-22 produced by Pirco Company were used to fully investigate against various chemicals, including deicing salts and acid rain, which are important factors in the destruction of the bitumen structure. These functional bitumens were examined with various DSR, RTFOT, PAV, and BBR analyses. We concluded that oxidation and changes in the structure of the base bitumen led to changes in the performance and appearance of the bitumen. Sodium chloride, calcium chloride, and acid, respectively, caused the most changes. These findings can help researchers in the field of bitumen and asphalt production to do important work by modifying the bitumen structure and using other materials for deicing in increasing the lifespan and resistance of bitumen and asphalt.
