| The development of recyclable heterogeneous catalysts has become a central focus in modern green chemistry, addressing the limitations of conventional homogeneous systems, such as difficult recovery, corrosion, and the generation of toxic waste [1]. In this study, a novel acidic magnetic nanocatalyst was successfully synthesized and characterized using various techniques, including FT-IR, XRD, FESEM, EDX, and VSM. The unique features of this catalyst, including strong surface acidity, high chemical stability, and superparamagnetism, enabled efficient and selective catalysis in the O-acetylation of a diverse range of alcohols and phenols, key reactions for producing esters used in the pharmaceutical, fragrance, and cosmetic industries [2]. The results demonstrated that the acetylation reactions proceeded efficiently under mild and green conditions, with high yield and short reaction time, while the catalyst retained its activity over at least five consecutive cycles without significant loss of performance due to its facile magnetic separation. This study highlights this catalytic system as a sustainable, efficient, and eco-friendly platform, offering a promising alternative to conventional acidic methods for protection and esterification reactions and contributing to the advancement of green synthetic protocols (Scheme 1). |
