| ISN-Nd complex supported SrFe2O4 nanoparticles as high reusable nanocatalyst for the synthesis of polyhydroquinoline |

| Polyhydroquinoline (PHQ) derivatives are important compounds because they have emerged as one of the most important classes of drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. We report the synthesis of SrFe2O4@SiO2@APTMS@ISN-Nd as a novel nanomagnetic solid catalyst, containing Neodymium catalytic sites on the surface of SrFe2O4 MNPs (Schem1). The prepared catalyst was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDS), inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP‐OES), X‐ray Diffraction (XRD), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) measurements. The catalytic activity of this nanomagnetic catalyst was considered for the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines under optimized conditions, achieving yields of up to 98% for a 40-minute reaction time. The use of this heterogeneous nanocatalyst in the mentioned organic reaction offers good results, such as the use of commercially available chemicals, high reaction efficiencies, easy recovery, and reusability of the catalyst for at least five continuous cycles |
