چکیده مقاله
In this research work, an improved method of synthesizing xanthate salts is presented. First, the desired alkoxide was produced by reacting alcohol with potassium or sodium hydroxide in the in-situ reaction medium, then the produced alkoxide was reacted with carbon disulfide .
The structure of alcohol, base and solvent have an important role in the formation of xanthates. Structures of prepared xanthate salts were confirmed by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and FT-IR techniques. In this work, the presented method for the preparation of xanthate salts has important aspects, some of which can be mentioned such as the use of green solvent, short reaction time, simple purification of the product, performing the reaction at room temperature and simple reaction conditions.
