| چکیده مقاله |
| The use of waste biomass to produce environmentally friendly heterogeneous catalysts has attracted much attention in recent years, especially in the field of biodiesel production, where biochar and biomass-derived catalysts have performed very well[1]. This study used walnut shell and bone ash as low-cost biomass sources to produce a heterogeneous catalyst for biodiesel production. Walnut shell was treated with KOH solution, mixed with bovine bone powder, and co-pyrolyzed to create a porous structure. The substrate was then refluxed with HCl to enhance surface activity. The resulting catalyst, featuring both acidic and basic sites, showed high efficiency in oleic acid transesterification with methanol and good thermal stability, aligning with circular economy principles for biowaste management. Attention was paid to the simultaneous presence of basic and acidic sites resulting from chemical activation. In accordance with similar findings in the field of biochar catalysts based on plant and animal waste, the results indicated high reaction efficiency of the catalyst and its good thermal stability[2]. The use of walnut shell and bone compounds in the production of catalysts can be in line with the principles of circular economy and smart management of biowaste, a topic that has also been emphasized in recent research[3]. |
