This study explores the development of magnetic MCR-modified polystyrene (MPS-DET-SO3H) as a sustainable catalytic system within the framework of green chemistry. By immobilizing homogeneous catalysts onto polystyrene supports through multi-component reactions, we enhance catalytic efficiency and stability while minimizing environmental impact. The use of multicomponent reactions (MCRs) allows for one-pot synthesis, improving atom economy and reducing waste. Characterization of the synthesized MPS-DET-SO3H was conducted using FT-IR, SEM, EDS mapping, and XRD analyses. Our findings highlight the potential of polystyrene-based materials in constructing advanced, reusable catalysts that align with environmentally friendly practices. This research contributes to the ongoing efforts in developing cleaner methodologies in chemical processes.
