| چکیده مقاله |
| Silver nanoparticles were synthesized using Ferula gummosa gum extract as a natural reducing and stabilizing agent, with the aim of developing biocompatible nanomaterials exhibiting enhanced antioxidant properties. For nanoparticle preparation, 10 mL of 5 mM silver nitrate solution was mixed with 1 mL of aqueous gum extract at room temperature. The formation of a light-brown color within 20 minutes confirmed the successful synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The characteristics of the nanoparticles were analyzed using UV–visible spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The UV–vis spectrum showed a maximum absorption peak at 460 nm, while TEM images revealed spherical nanoparticles with an average diameter of approximately 40 nm. Antioxidant activity was evaluated using DPPH and ABTS assays. In these experiments, 50 μL of nanoparticles at concentrations ranging from 10 to 100 μg/mL were mixed with 250 μL of DPPH or ABTS solutions, and the absorbance values were measured. Radical scavenging activity (%) was calculated using the following formula: Radical Scavenging (%) = {Absorbance of Control} - {Absorbance of Sample}/ {Absorbance of Control} *100 The results demonstrated that the synthesized nanoparticles exhibited strong, concentration-dependent antioxidant behavior. At concentrations of 50 and 70 μg/mL, the nanoparticles inhibited approximately 50% of free radicals in both assays, surpassing the antioxidant capacity of the BSA standard. This enhanced performance is likely attributed to the high surface area of the nanoparticles and the increased stability of plant-derived bioactive compounds on their surface. Overall, the study highlights the effectiveness and eco-friendly nature of using Ferula gummosa gum extract for the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The pronounced antioxidant activity of the produced nanoparticles suggests promising potential for applications in pharmaceutical and food industries. |
