چکیده مقاله
Biodegradable alkanolamides based on fatty acids and monoethanolamine have gained widespread applications in the cosmetics, textile, and pharmaceutical industries due to their emulsifying properties, thickening ability, and stability. In this project, it was demonstrated that a palm-based superamide with an active matter content above 90% can be synthesized through the reaction of palm fatty acid with monoethanolamine at an optimized temperature range of approximately 150–170 °C. To characterize the final product, several key parameters including acid number, amine number, active matter (amide %), and water content were determined by standard methods. The results indicated that increasing the reaction temperature can shorten the reaction time and lead to energy savings. The best results were obtained at an amine-to-fatty acid molar ratio of 1.01.
