Catalytic applications of a sulfonic acid functionalized porous organic polymer in the synthesis of α-Aminobenzyl-4-hydroxycoumarins

چکیده مقاله
Porous organic polymers (POPs) are robust heterogeneous materials composed of stable covalent networks, exhibiting excellent thermal and chemical stability as well as tunable porosity [1-2]. Functionalization of these polymers with acidic functional groups such as sulfonic acid moieties can be efficient catalysts in organic transformations such as multicomponent reactions and carbon–carbon bond-formation under green conditions. The required precursors were synthesized according to our recently reported educational synthetic organic theory [3]. Herein, a series of α-aminobenzyl-4-hydroxycoumarins derivatives were synthesized using one-pot three-component reaction of 4-hydroxycoumarin, aromatic aldehydes, and 2-aminopyridine catalyzed by sulfonic acid functionalized POP (POP-SO3H). Designablity of POP-SO3H, high yield of products, short reaction times, ease of recovery and reusing of the catalyst are some of benefits of this methodology.
