| چکیده مقاله |
| A novel macrocyclic Schiff base complex ([CuL2Cl] ClO4.2H2O) was synthesized via the Cu(II) template [1 + 1] cyclocondensation of 2,9-dicarboxaldehyde-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline with N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-propanediamine [1]. This complex was characterized before reaction by various techniques such as FT-IR, 1HNMR ،13CNMR and CHN elemental analysis. We employed the oxidation reaction of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde as a model reaction (scheme 1). At first test was run with catalysts at the following conditions reaction: benzyl alcohol (0.5mmol), hydrogen peroxide 30% (40 μl, 0.293 mmol), catalyst 0.02 g, reaction time 45 min, reaction temperature 55◦C, various solvents without optimized amounts and the results show that catalysts are highly active. Importantly, these catalysts have different activities in different solvents. Ethyl acetate was the best choice as solvent and this solvent is used in other reactions [2]. On the basis weight of the obtained aldehyde, the reaction yield can be calculated. In order to optimize the reaction time and temperature, the reaction progress was monitored by thin layer chromatography technique (TLC) in a regular alternative time and temperature. The catalytic activities of the prepared catalysts were investigated by employing in oxidation of various aromatic alcohols with environmentally friendly oxidant under mild conditions and showed high catalytic activity and selectivity. Essential factors behind the oxidation of alcohol was investigated, including the solvent, time and temperature. |
