چکیده مقاله
Oxidized natural asphalt ("NA-oxide" ), synthesized via the Hummers method (scheme 1) [1], was utilized as a low-cost, sustainable adsorbent for removing synthetic dyes (MO, MB and RhB). The oxidation process, using Kmno4, successfully enhanced surface hydrophilicity by introducing functional groups capable of hydrogen bonding with the dyes. Characterization confirmed the material’s structure, revealing a specific surface area of 3.49 m2. g-1 and a pore volume of 0.0187 cm3. g-1.
